02 Navigate to Transfers

Navigate to the Transfers section and select To Other Banks.

03 Enter Required Details

Cash Grant – Important EFT Details

To ensure your Cash Grant is received without delays, please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Select Your Bank
Click the bank name field and select Demerara Bank.
Step 2: Select Your Branch

Click the branch field and select the branch where your account was opened. If you are unsure, use your transit number as a reference:

 

00100 – Main Branch (Camp Street)
00200 – Rose Hall
00300 – Corriverton
00400 – Essequibo (Anna Regina)
00500 – Diamond
00600 – Beterverwagting / Le Ressouvenir
00700 – Corporate Office
00800 – Mahaica
00900 – Leonora

Step 3: Select Your Account Type

Click the account type field and select the type of account you have. Your account type is based on how your account number begins:

 

1******* – Passbook Account

2******* – Savings Account

3******* or 4******* – Chequing Account

Step 4: Select Account Ownership
Click the account ownership field and select the appropriate option (e.g. My Account Only or other applicable option).
Step 5: Enter Your Account Number

Enter your account number. If you do not know your account number, you can find it through:

 

Any ATM
eBanking
Your registration email
Your deposit slip
Contacting us directly

 

Your account number must be 7 digits long. You may see numbers in front of your account number such as 00100 – 00900 or 100 – 900. These are branch/transit numbers and must NOT be included.

  Example:
  001002000001 → Enter: 2000001  

Step 6: Confirm Your Account Number
Re-enter your account number to confirm it is correct.
Step 7: Enter the Name on Your Account

Enter your name exactly as it appears on your bank account. The account name must match the account number. If there is any mismatch, the funds will be returned to the sender.

Step 8: Enter Your Mailing Address
Enter your current mailing address. This should match the address associated with your bank account.
Step 9: Save Your Details

Click the “Save Bank Details” button to complete the process.
